Misaki, a young doctor who had been working for overseas medical volunteers, was devastated when she received the news of her father’s sudden death. As the only daughter of the hospital’s owner, Misaki was the natural successor to take over the operation of the hospital.
However, things took a turn for the worst when she returned to Japan. The deputy director of the hospital, Sekiguchi, had a plan to sell the hospital to a private corporation, which would have resulted in the loss of the hospital’s traditional values and services.
